Officers from the Pinehurst Police Department responded to the following calls between Sept. 4 through Sept. 28:

Sept. 4:

Theft of a wallet was reported at a retail store in the 100 block of Strickland Dr.

A White male identified as Gregory Wallace, 40, was arrested for an outstanding parole warrant.

Sept. 6:

A white male, identified as John Wilson, 25, was arrested in the 3600 block of Martin St. for outstanding warrants issued by Justice of the Peace Derry Dunn.

Sept. 7:

A vehicle burglary was reported on Harding Cr.

Sept. 8:

A 61 year old white male, identified as John Ronald Collins, was arrested for traffic violations on MLK Jr. Dr.

A 22 year old black female, identified as Mykeisha Arshay Young, was arrested for a traffic violation in the 3400 block of W. Park.

Following a report of theft at a retail store in the 1500 block of Strickland Dr., a 54 year old black male, identified as John Earl King, was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.


Sept. 9:

A 71 year old white male, identified as Joseph Starrel Ryder, was arrested in the 1900 block of Strickland Dr. for three outstanding traffic warrants issued by Justice of the Peace Rodney Price.

A report of threats was received by staff members of an elementary school in the 2600 block of MLK Jr. Dr.

A burglary was reported in 1900 block of Camelot Dr. Items were taken from the garage.

A report of threats was received by an ex-employee of a car lot in the 2600 block of MLK Jr. Dr.


Sept. 10:

A traffic accident was reported in the 1400 block of Strickland Dr.

A report of threats was made at a trailer park in the 3600 block of W. Park.

Sept. 11:

A theft report was received by members of the Pinehurst Volunteer Fire Department.

Sept. 12:

A 30 year old white male, identified as Matthew Ray Robbins, was arrested for an outstanding parole warrant.

Sept. 13:

A report of criminal mischief and cruelty to animals was received in the 3600 block of W. Martin St.

Sept. 14:

A theft was reported at a business in the 3700 block of W. Martin St.

Sept. 15:

A theft was reported at a pharmacy in the 200 block of Strickland Dr.

A burglary of a residence was reported in the 3000 block of Warbler Drive.


Sept. 16:

Officers confiscated a handgun for safekeeping in the 3100 block of Martin following an unrelated disturbance in another area of Orange County.

Sept. 19:

A 36 year old white male, identified as Timothy McWilliams, was arrested in the 2600 block of MLK Jr. Dr. for an outstanding parole warrant issued by the state of Alabama, for failing to register as a sex offender.

A traffic accident was reported in the 3700 block of W. Park.

Sept. 20:

A report of an assault was received at a trailer park in the 3800 block of Pheasant Dr.

Sept. 21:

A report of injury to a child was received.

A report of injury to a child was received. It was determined that the offense occurred in a neighboring jurisdiction. A report was made and forwarded to that jurisdiction.


Sept. 23:

Officers responded to a clothing store in the 2200 block of MacArthur Dr., in reference to a subject shoplifting on several past occasions.

A major accident was reported in the 2600 block of MLK Jr. Dr.

Sept. 24:

A report of employee theft was received at a retail store in the 100 block of Strickland Drive.

Sept. 26:

A report of an accident was received at a hair salon in the 3400 block of W. Park. An elderly customer drove her vehicle into the side of the building.

A 31 year old white male, identified as Mark Thomas, was arrested for an outstanding probation warrant in the 200 block of Camellia.

Sept. 28:

A 23 year old Hispanic male, identified as Eduardo Gallegos, was arrested for a felony drug possession warrant following a traffic stop on IH-10, at the 875 mile marker.
