Interstate 10 in Orange County has been reopened following a crash that killed four people, two adults, and two children.

The crash occurred at about 9:30 pm Wednesday, near the Asher Turnaround in Rose City, and involved two 18 wheelers, a KIA SUV, a 1994 Ford, and a third vehicle. State Troopers said that at least one of the vehicles caught fire.

According to a press release from the Department of Public Safety, Glenda Blackwell, 62, of Vidor was driving a 2011 Kia with two minor children in the car. All three perished in the crash, but authorities are not releasing the names of the children until family members have been notified. Blackwell was pronounced dead by Orange County Justice of the Peace Judge Derry Dunn. Another adult in the second vehicle was also killed.

According to witnesses at the scene, there were "several explosions and booms."

The interstate was reopened at about 5:00 am Thursday morning
