Also, a traveling Great Plains cold front will enter Southeast Texas by mid-afternoon today, before exiting South Louisiana by mid-evening tonight.

Numerous pre-frontal showers and thunderstorms are expected, with some having the potential to be severe. These storms may carry strong damaging winds and isolated tornadoes being the primary threat. Localized flooding is also possible in the stronger showers.
