Seleta D. Plaia, 66, of Mauriceville died Saturday, Nov. 8, at Baptist Hospital of Southeast Texas in Orange.

A native of Beaumont, she has been a resident of Mauriceville for the past 12 years. Seleta was a retired Officer of Collections with Texas Commerce Bank and was a homemaker. She was a member of Silver Oaks Baptist Church in Mauriceville and a past madam president of the Grand Auxiliary Order of the Eagles.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, Nov. 12, at Silver Oaks Baptist Church in Mauriceville, with burial to follow at The Cemetery in Mauriceville.

A gathering for family and friends will begin at 6:00 pm Tuesday, Nov. 11, at Memorial Funeral Home.

Seleta is survived by her husband of 33 years, Robert Plaia; daughter, Amy Murdock and her husband Eddie of Mauriceville; sister, Jackie Tippett of Vidor; and two granddaughters, Mackenzie and Madison Murdock.
