UPDATE - Amber Alert issued for child and father

Houston police say a missing child whose mother was found dead has been found safe in Arkansas where his father has been discovered dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

A Texas-wide Amber Alert had been issued for 14-month-old Tyemetheus Pack after his mother, Angel Jackson, was found dead earlier Tuesday in Houston. The 26-year-old woman last was seen on Christmas Eve and had texted a message that she'd been shot.

The child's father, Tumetheus Pack, believed about 40, had been sought by police as a person of interest.

Houston homicide investigator Paul Vela says Pack and boy were found near Prescott, Arkansas, and accompanied by two other children and a woman. He provided no other details.

Prescott is about 300 miles northeast of Houston.

Investigators believe the child, Tyemetheus Pack, may be with his father, Tumetheus Levastavian Pack. Police describe the father as a person of interest in the shooting death of Angel Jackson, 26. She was found shot to death Dec. 30 in Houston, according to the Houston Police Department.

They say Pack may be driving a 2006 green Chevrolet Suburban with Arkansas License Plate 125SOA.

Anyone with information about the child about the child, the father or the vehicle is asked to call the Houston Police Department at 713 308-3600.
