Nine of the Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School Art Students who entered the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Art Competition have received notification that they were awarded ribbons and medals for their entries.

Kirty Weatherly received Best of Show and Shannon Boozer earned a Gold Medal, as did Brooke Tant.

Bailee Burnett and Sundas Imtiaz earned Finalist Ribbons, Taylor Reichart a Blue Ribbon, Abby Turner, Brianna Cart and Elizabeth Guillot were all Red Ribbon winners.

The Best of Show and Gold Medal winners’ art will go to the next level of competition and be on display in Reliant Center during the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

The awards ceremony will be March 7, for district winners.

The LCM High School art teacher is Betsy Kaufman.
