The Lutcher Theater invites patrons to witness the sweep, poetry and grandeur of America's most celebrated novel, F. Scott Fitzgerald's The Great Gatsby adapted by Simon Levy and performed by Montana Repertory Theatre. The play is scheduled for the Lutcher stage Friday, March 6, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale now at www.lutcher.org or by calling the Lutcher Theater Box Office.

Watch the rise and fall of the notorious Jay Gatsby and the alluring and dangerous Daisy Buchanan presented by one of the nation's premier touring companies. Seeing The Great Gatsby live on stage renews and refreshes our understanding of this remarkable tale told by an American genius.

With this production, the Montana Repertory Theatre continues their exploration of great American stories that penetrate the core of human experience. Over the past several years, Lutcher patrons have enjoyed such American classics as The Miracle Worker, Biloxi Blues, Bus Stop, To Kill a Mockingbird, and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, all brought to us by Montana Rep. With each production, the company has brought new vitality and vision to time-honored theatre pieces.

Montana Rep, an Equity company based at The University of Montana in Missoula, has been touring since 1968. Over the past fifteen years the company has toured its productions of It’s a Wonderful Life; The Diary of Anne Frank; Death of a Salesman; The Miracle Worker; A Streetcar Named Desire; Steel Magnolias; The Trip to Bountiful; Lost in Yonkers; Cat on a Hot Tin Roof; To Kill a Mockingbird; Leading Ladies; Bus Stop; and Doubt, A Parable. Montana Rep has presented more than 600 performances in nearly 500 communities from California to New York in that time.

Principal roles are played by actors whose past credits have included Broadway and national tours, major motion pictures, and productions at the nation’s leading regional theatres.

The Lutcher’s presentation of The Great Gatsby is sponsored by Scott and Rita Ballard.
