Tesa Bourque of Mauriceville Middle School recently earned Second Place in the 8th grade division of the “Laws of Life” competition. “Laws of Life” is an essay competition, sponsored by the Better Business Bureau.

The title of her essay was “The Gift of Life.” She received a plaque, trophy, certificates, $75.00 and several gift cards and passes. Her English teacher, Kristin Robinson, was also awarded $50.00 and a plaque. Janet Peno, MMS counselor, accepted a plaque given the school for, "promoting development of character and ethics in young people and your community."

Heidi Strandberg, Tesa’s reading teacher, was also there to cheer her on. Tesa’s parents are Ginger and Donald Bourque.
