The Orange County Commissioners Court will address elected officials salaries and law enforcement agenda items at their regular meeting at 2 p.m. on Monday, August 31 in the Commissioners' Courtroom of the Orange County Administration Building, 123 South 6th St. in Orange.

Commissioners will consider adopting elected officials salaries for the 2015-2016 fiscal year budget year.

Under consideration is the approval of an interlocal agreement for law enforcement services between the county and the city of Pine Forest and authorize County Judge Brint Carlton to sign the same.

Commissioners will discuss and possibly act upon regarding approving sheriff and constable's fees for the upcoming 2015-2016 fiscal year. All fees currently in effect shall remain the same. Pursuant to the Local Government Code the commissioners court may assess a fee for the execution of writs by Oct. 15, 2015 to become effective Jan. 1, 2016.

As of Sept. 1, 2015 there are two new laws, HB 2486 (order of retrieval) and HB 3901, (writ of assistance for repossession of an aircraft). The fee to serve these writs shall be the same as all other writs served which is $125. There will be a fee of $35 an hour per deputy if the writ of personal property retrieval exceeds two hours. This is the fee charged for writ of possessions.

The court will deliberate on an interlocal agreement required by the Texas Automobile Burglary and Theft Prevention Authority for the 2016 grant which funds the Southeast Texas Auto Theft Task Force.

The court will deliberate on making a decision about the county entering into an energy efficiency program.

The county employees Vision Plan Provider will be considered.
