St. Mary Catholic School had one student participated in the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Quick Draw Still Life contest held at the Reliant Hall on Saturday, Feb. 20. There were 600 entries and 70 students from the junior high and high school level selected to participate. Within the junior category only 26 students were allowed to participate. Jaci Doucet, a student at St. Mary Catholic School who participated won and was awarded a week to the Glacell School of Art in Houston this summer which is valued at $1,500 among other prizes. Jaci participated in the art program at St. Mary Catholic School which is taught by Cindy Claybar.
