Kelsey Smith, a senior at Bridge City High School signed a letter of intent with Lamar University in Beaumont on April 25.

Smith brings an extensive resume along with her. She is a four year varsity track letterman; school record holder in the long jump; member of the team that holds the school record in the 4 x 100; 2016 area long jump qualifier and 100 meter qualifier; 2015 academic all district, long jump district champion, long jump area champion and long jump regional qualifier and the 2013 and 2015 regional qualifier in the 4 x 100.
