The National Weather Service in Lake Charles is continuing a flash flood watch for our entire forecast area through Saturday. An additional one to two inches of rain, with locally higher amounts of three to five inches, is expected again late tonight into Saturday.

Moderate river flooding is now forecast on the Neches River near Town Bluff and Beaumont and the Pine Island Bayou near Sour Lake. Minor river flooding is expected on Village Creek, Sabine and Calcasieu Rivers, and Bundick Lake.

In the tropics, there is a good chance (60%) of a tropical cyclone to form alter this weekend in the southeastern Gulf of Mexico. It will be a threat to Florida early next week.
