The National Weather Service is forecasting a wetter period over the next seven days. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected each day. No widespread severe weather is expected, but isolated damaging winds could pop up quickly with little advanced warning.

Temperatures will continue to be a few degrees above normal, with highs in the low to mid 90s and lows in the mid to upper 70s. Afternoon heat indices will be in the 100 to 106 F range, below the criteria for a heat advisory.

In the tropics, it will continue to be quiet in the Gulf, Caribbean and Atlantic and continue to be active in the eastern Pacific Ocean.
