Russell Dean Lewis, 56, died Saturday, July 23, at his home.

A native of Jasper, Russell was a longtime resident of Vidor, who liked woodworking and classic cars. He also enjoyed the outdoors and visiting with his neighbors and being the "neighborhood watch." Russell especially enjoyed activities with his grandsons.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 26, beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 27, at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with cremation to follow.

Russell is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Karyn Lewis; three daughters, Ashlee Lewis-Guidry of Vidor, Samantha Lewis of San Marcos and Haley Lewis and Cody Marley, of Vidor; four grandsons, Jackson Guidry, Bryson Guidry and Easton Guidry; two brothers, Rickey Lewis and his wife Kathy, of Vidor and David Lewis and his wife Vickie, of Sabine Pass and two sisters, Belinda Baumgardner and her husband Jim, of Huntington and Lawanda Lewis of Waldron, AR. He is also survived by his father, Lawayne Lewis and his stepfather, Cullen Barnett.

Russell was preceded in death by his mother, Arlene Lee-Barnett; stepmother, Nelda Lewis; brother, Larry Lewis and two grandsons, Hayden and Dalton Church.
