Bettie Ann Morvant, 77, died Saturday, July 23, in Beaumont. She was a native of Mississippi and a longtime resident of Vidor.

Bettie was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and loved her Lord. She earned her bachelor's degree in nursing and loved her job. Her hobbies were reading, especially her Bible and crafting.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 27, beginning at 6:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, July 28, at 10:00 a.m., at the church, with interment to follow at Oak Bluff Cemetery in Pt. Neches.

Bettie is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Randolph Morvant, Jr .; son, Randolph Morvant, III and his wife Joanie of Vidor and daughter, Rhonda Aline Laffoon and her husband Steven, all of Vidor; four grandsons, Colby Morvant, Derick Laffoon, Hunter Laffoon and Jerry Smith, Jr .; four granddaughters, Wyndi Odom, Kayla Waldrep, Stephanie Waldrep and Kaycie Waldrep and two great granddaughters, Emma Odom and Rose Morvant. She is also survived by three nephews, Jay Fox, James Fox and Tom Fox and one niece, Teresa Fanning.
