Bob Wilder, 90, of Vidor, died Monday, Aug. 22, at his Vidor residence. A native of Omaha, Nebraska, he was a longtime resident of Vidor.

Bob was a machinist for Caffey's Automotive Service for over 50 years and was an avid woodworker for over 35 years. He served in country in the US Navy aboard the U.S.S. Bogue during WWII.

Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, Aug. 27, at Memorial Funeral Home.

Bob is survived by his son Robert "Bobby" Curtis Wilder Jr.; daughters Linda Mayea, Barbara Johnson and Gale Tompkins, all of Vidor; sister Ruth Schroder of Oklahoma; brother Jimmy Wilder of Conroe and Jack Wilder of South Carolina, eight grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren and one more great-great grandchild on the way.
