Alfred I. Aden, 93, of Beaumont, passed away Monday, January 9, 2017. He was born on August 25, 1923, in Elizabeth, Louisiana, to Alfred Ira and May Collier Aden. He served his country in the United States Naval Corp. in the battle of Normandy and was a veteran of World War II. He worked for Southwestern Bell (AT&T) for 35 years until his retirement.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Louise; his sister, Stephanie Armistead; and nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Nida Marshall Holmes and brother, John Aden.

A graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 12, 2017, at Friendship Cemetery, County Road 456, Roganville, under the direction of Broussard’s, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont.
