(Photo by Tommy Mann Jr.) British rockers The Cult, featuring Ian Astbury, at left, and Billy Duffy, performed to a near-capacity crowd this past Saturday, (May 20, 2017) inside the historic Jefferson Theatre in downtown Beaumont, as the band delivered a sensational 85-minute set of new material, such as “Birds of Paradise” and “Dark Energy,” along with the group’s classic hits “Rain,” “Love Removal Machine,” “Wild Flower,” “Lil Devil,” “Sweet Soul Sister,” “She Sells Sanctuary,” and “Fire Woman,” among others.
