Bridge City HIgh School is sending a delegation of 20 students to the TASC Annual State Conference that will be held this weekend in Arlington, Texas. For the first time in school history, BCHS is seeking to be elected to serve the state as TASC Secretary-which is one of only four offices.

BCHS has partnered with #ICANHELP which is an organization that seeks to delete negativity on social media. 92% of teens have some form of social media and BCHS is challenging other student leaders to use their power to inspire and motivate others to be the good in the world.

"Win or lose we are excited to attend the conference and collaborate with other student leaders from across the state," said Cheryl Royal, Director of Student Activities at BCHS.

Texas Association of Student Councils is a student organization of over 1300 member schools that's vision is to build leaders who positively impact our schools, communities, state and nation. Each candidate school must submit a platform, prepare a student leader to give a campaign speech and field questions about platform, as well as actively campaign culminating with performing a skit in front of 5000 other delegates from across the state.
