City Of Pinehurst Ceremony

Last updated 8/14/2018 at Noon

As the one year anniversary of Hurricane Harvey approaches, the City of Pinehurst would like to reflect on events of the past year. The City would like to highlight what steps have been taken to better prepare for future catastrophes and what equipment the Pinehurst Police Department has acquired to aid in future rescues of our citizens, the transportation of much needed food, water and other life-sustaining supplies and the means to insure our officers can adequately respond to any emergency, no matter the conditions.

Mayor Pete Runnels and the Pinehurst City Council would like to formally invite all Golden Triangle Media outlets to attend this ceremony.

The event will take place on Tuesday, 8/14/2018 at 5:30 p.m. prior to the regular meeting of the Pinehurst City Council. During the council meeting there will be a slide show presentation to further illustrate the events leading up to and following Hurricane Harvey and how it impacted the City of Pinehurst, its citizens, employees and first responders.

Your attendance will be highly appreciated and questions will be welcomed.
