Sand bags available now for Orange County residents

Orange County Officials are monitoring the weather conditions with input from national and state organizations and will provide updates through the local news media outlets as new developments occur.
Sand and bags are available at the following locations. Citizens are asked to bring their own shovels.
**All sites listed below will remain open as long as supplies last
Precinct 1 Road & Bridge Barn, North Hwy 87 at North Teal, Orange
Commissioner Precinct 2 Office, 11867 Hwy 62 North, Orange (across from Mauriceville Market Basket)
Precinct 3 Road & Bridge Barn, 2502 W Roundbunch Road, Orange
Precinct 4 Road & Bridge Barn,375 Claiborne Street, Vidor
If you must travel, please take the following precautions:
Pay attention to barricades.
Never attempt to drive through flooded roadways and avoid underpasses.
Be aware of hydroplaning.
If you drive through neighborhoods, WATCH YOUR SPEED. High speeds cause water to be pushed into homes, endangering property and/or lives.
TURN AROUND, DON’T DROWN!
DO NOT drive down flooded roads unless absolutely necessary to prevent water from being pushed further into yards and homes. DO NOT block roadways with your vehicle.
