County’s WWII vets going strong

Last updated 11/6/2018 at Noon

Orange County has at least 22 living World War II veterans, men and women in their 90s who grew up during the Great Depression, gave their blood, sweat and tears to turn back tyranny on multiple fronts, and lived to see the United States prosper again.

Reporters from the Record Newspapers have recently been in contact with these veterans to update our listing and many are gathering Wednesday, Nov. 7 to be honored at Wednesday Lunch Bunch at Robert’s.

If you know a World War II veteran from Orange County who should be on this list, please contact Dave Rogers at [email protected] or call 409-886-7183.
