Fifteen World War II vets gather for Veteran's Day lunch

Fifteen World War II veterans from Orange County gathered at Robert's for the Nov. 7 Wednesday's Lunch Bunch to observe Veterans Day and celebrate Cedric Stout's 97th birthday. Seated front, left to right, are Ruby Parks, Burdette Oldbury, Robert Rothrock and Athanase Benoit. Standing, left to right, are Levan Myers, Millard Cox, Paul Roy, John Pittman, J.D. Dixson, Cedric Stout, Tom Brooks, Lennie Benoit, Roy McDaniel, J.B. Arrington and Harry Fulton. Reliable Cleaners' Keith Wallace sponsored the event. County Judge Dean Crooks brought along a proclamation designating Nov. 7 "Cedric Stout Day" in honor of the Pearl Harbor survivor, a Bridge City resident.
