Twelve Orangefield High School freshmen traveled to Lamar University where they participated in a Job Shadowing luncheon with local engineers. The students were able to ask any questions about the multiple fields of engineering, and they participated in a group project to build the tallest marshmallow tower. Engineers, electricians, and other professionals spoke to students about how they were lead to their careers, the application of technology and skills, college readiness, and the prospects of a future career in one of the engineering or related fields.
