First Grade students in Mrs. King’s class at St. Mary School have been studying the characteristics and history of Texas. Pictured are students engaged in a kinesthetic activity identifying and illustrating Lone Star facts and features such as the governor, capital, state flag, state flower, state tree, bordering states, etc. The lesson ended with a “Taste of Texas”, a slice of pecan pie for everyone!
