The Bridge City Chamber of Commerce held its annual Mother of the Year Contest and received several nominations, all of which were for very deserving mothers. After careful consideration by the Mother of the Year Committee, Mrs. Tiffany Jones was awarded the honor.

Tiffany is originally from Big Sandy, Tennessee. She and husband Brad have lived in Bridge City for 17 years. Tiffany and husband Brad have been married for 20 years and have four children: daughter Chloe who is a senior at Bridge City High School, 10 year old daughter Currie, infant son Jayshawn and infant daughter Kay.

Tiffany was nominated by her daughter Chloe who is a senior at Bridge City High school. Chloe said, “My mom truly serves as the greatest mother of all time. Being her firstborn, I’ve seen her grow as a mother as she has watched several children (biological and nonbiological) grow. She is always there for all of us, which can be tricky having two infants, a teenager and ten year old.”

Her passion for children takes her on yearly trips to Guatemala volunteering at Hope for Home Ministries for 6 years. This orphanage specializes in finding homes for special needs children. As a foster parent, Tiffany shows her unconditional love to all the children she cares for. When asked why she fosters children, Tiffany said, “The Lord told us to. We started out helping children in Guatemala and that led us to fostering and adopting.”

Tiffany is a member of Commonground Church and volunteers at the Bridge City / Orangefield Ministerial Alliance. Also known as the “Book fair lady of Bridge City”, Tiffany has coordinated book fairs for Bridge City ISD for the last 13 years.

Tiffany was presented her gifts at the Bridge City Chamber’s May Networking Coffee hosted by Las Rosa’s Mexican Restaurant where Mayor Pro Tem Eric Andrus read aloud the City of Bridge City’s official proclamation naming her 2019 Mother of the Year.

She received over $1500 worth of gift certificates and prizes thanks to the Bridge City Chamber and these wonderful sponsors: Mary Kelone of Barefoot Souls, Best Day Spa, Candace Mulhollan RE/MAX ONE agent, Caryn’s Bakery, Heather Evans, Delta Life Fitness Orange County, Energy Country Ford, Las Rosas Mexican Restaurant, Le Ha Nails, Massage & Spa by Christy, Merle Norman, Neches Federal Credit Union, OhainWEB.com, Open Mortgage of Southeast Texas, Sabine Federal Credit Union, Sabine River Ford, SLJSpaGirl, SETX Yard Cards, Tiger Rock Martial Arts of Bridge City, Total Impressions, TRENDZ, and Wellspring Credit Union.
