BC kick's off to newly named field

The Bridge City Cardinal football team will step on to the newly named H. N. Litton Field when the season kicks-off Friday against Diboll. A special ceremony was held Monday during the annual "Meet the Cardinals" event that included the naming of the field in Litton's honor. The beloved Coach Litton became an athletic trainer at Bridge City High School in 1965. Litton, who also taught biology at BCHS, retired in 1988 and continued his work as a Sports Medicine Consultant. In 1999 he was inducted into the Southeast Texas Coach's Hall of Fame. Herman "Moe" Litton passed away on October 14, 2018 at the age of 91.
