The Bridge City Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that the November Student of the Month for Orangefield High School is Remington Coy Bryant. Remington was presented his certificate and gift bag by Bridge City Chamber Ambassador/Board Member, Rani Dillow, Mortgage Loan Originator at Westin Mortgage Group, at the November coffee hosted by Bridge City Bank. He received gift certificates and gifts from: COS Printing, Wellspring Credit Union, Tiger Rock Martial Arts of Bridge City, Sabine Federal Credit Union, Neches Federal Credit Union, Bridge City Walmart, Bridge City Bank, 5Point Credit Union and Candace Mulhollan RE/MAX ONE.

Remington is the son of Roy Bryant, Amanda Bryant, Kelly Bryant and Ernest Chapman. He is ranked 51 of 120 with a GPA of 3.66.

Remington’s awards and honors include:

• Microsoft Expert – Word, Excel, Access and Power Point
• Big O Award – English 3
• Basketball Offensive MVP 2018-2019
• 2^nd Team All-District – 2018-2019

Remington’s clubs and organizations include:

• Varsity Basketball
• JV Basketball
• Select Basketball Team
• Chess Club 2017-2018

Remington’s community service: Volunteered at local soup kitchen.

Mrs. Hennigan, Algebra 2, said “Coy is a bright young man who exhibits great character! It was a pleasure to teach him and see his smile everyday. I will always remember him for his integrity, hard work and ability to make 3’s under pressure (not in the classroom but from the three point line, that is!!) Coy, I know you will shin in your future as you have here at OHS! All the best to you!

Mrs. Bellard, Technology, said, “Last year, I had the pleasure of Coy in class, twice daily.

He was new student to the OHS and was taking my BIM2 and Mobile Applications Development classes.

What a joy it was to teach Coy.

He is the student teachers love to have in class.

He was a natural in Business Information Management and excelled in all applications.

He even earned the Word 2016 Expert level certification.

Coding proved to be a subject that Coy had to work at perfecting.

He still excelled in this class; putting in the work necessary to ear the outcome he desired.

Coy also excelled in the group work required in the Mobile Applications class.

He was true team player.

Always completing his assigned task and offering assistance to the other sin his group.

Coy’s work ethic and kind nature are going to serve him well in his future endeavors.

Mrs. Hyatt, Economics/Government, said, “I know “Coy” by Remington. Other’s call him Remi. He is an excellent student and awesome to have in class.

Mrs. Jenkins, Chemistry, said “Coy is tenacious. He sets goals for himself and does not give up until they are achieved to his satisfaction. He challenges himself and does not settle for mediocrity. I have enjoyed having him as a student for the past 2 years.

After graduation, Remington plans to attend Lamar University to pursue a career in

Engineering.
