Paul F. Rubel, 87, of Bridge City, Texas, passed away on January 25, 2020, in Beaumont, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 30, 2020, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City, Texas.

Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.

Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m.

to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.

Born in Frontenac, Kansas, on January 15, 1933, he was the son of Frank Rubel and Anna Rubel.

Paul proudly served his country in the United States Army and went on to spend 45 years of service with the Kansas City Southern Railroad as a Railroad Carman.

Paul enjoyed spending his free time outdoors, whether he was hunting, fishing, or tending to his garden.

He adored his family and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Anna Rubel; and his sisters, Cecilia Devaney and Margaret Ross, both of Warsaw, MO. Paul is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Eunice Rubel; children, Mary Ann LeBlanc, of Groves, Robert Rubel and wife Ning, of Gurley, AL, and Joey Rubel, of Mauriceville; grandchildren, Danielle LeBlanc McNamara and husband Jonathan, Brittany Rubel, RJ Rubel, and Sherry Gibbs and husband Richard; and great-grandchildren, Matthew Scully and Michael Scully; along with numerous other loving family and friends.


Serving as pallbearers will be Darlene Pelaez, Trey Dubose, Jonah Dubose, Joey Rubel, Robert Rubel, and Jonathan McNamara.

Honorary pallbearers are Dudley LeBlanc, Kenneth Keller, and Gail Williams.
