March 23, 2020 Below are reminders and updates for the week of March 23, 2020.

FEP Plan Type of Assignment Students Using Technology Online lessons will begin on March 25, 2020 through Google Classroom.

Students Not Using Technology Beginning Wednesday-Friday, March 25-27, 2020 from 9:00 a.m.

- 12:00 p.m.

all three OISD campuses will have assignment pickup locations.

(please see locations below) Pre-Kindergarten - 5th Grade: Pickup location- Elementary Cafeteria- Assignments will be picked up at the eastside entrance near the teacher parking and student drop-off and pickup area.

6th Grade - 8th Grade: Pickup location- Junior High Southside Entrance/Exit- Assignments will be picked up at the southside entrance one the football stadium side.

9th Grade - 12th Grade: Pickup location- High School Cafeteria- Assignments will be picked up on the northside of the campus at the back of the school by the cafeteria.

You will need to enter from the museum/new gym side and drive behind the school to access the assignment pick up location.

You will exit from the same entrance location.

(You will not be able to exit out through the fieldhouse parking lot.) All individuals picking up assignments: Please stay in your vehicle and there will be someone outside to assist you.

We will need the student(s) name and what grade level for their specific assignment(s).

Please notify us at the time of assignment pick up if your student receives special services (Special Education, 504, ESL, or Dyslexia).

A district staff member will bring the assignments to the vehicle.

Returning and Grading of Assignments The returning of paper-based assignments will be determined at a later date.

Web-based assignments will be submitted through Google Classroom.

Free Student Meals and Distribution OISD students that were 18 years of age and younger (21 years or younger for students receiving special education services) on September 1, 2019, are eligible for free meals.

Today, Monday, March 23, 2020 174 meals were distributed via drive-through at the Orangefield Junior High campus, free of charge.

Please come to the junior high campus for meals Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m.

- 12:00 p.m.

Upon arrival, students will receive a lunch meal for that day and a grab-and-go breakfast meal for the following morning.

Student Medication Student medication kept at the campuses are available for pick up Wednesday-Friday, March 25-27, 2020 from 9:00 a.m.

- 12:00 p.m.

at the three campuses where assignments are dispersed.
