High School Playoff Games This Week

Last updated 11/10/2020 at 11:02pm

WEST ORANGE-STARK (7-0) over SWEENY (3-7) 7:30 p.m. Friday at New Caney—The Mustangs breezed through their entire abbreviated 2020 schedule—including District 11-4A-II--unscathed and should remain that way after Friday night’s bi-district game with Sweeny, who is not an unfamiliar playoff foe.

SEALY (7-2) over ORANGEFIELD (4-4) 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Huffman’s Falcon Stadium—Although the Bobcats finished fourth in District 11-4A-II play, they lost to some very powerful teams along the way. Hopefully, district champion Sealy will be looking past the Bobcats and get ambushed with OF’s bone-crushing ground game and stout defense.

LINDALE (8-2) over VIDOR (4-4) 7 p.m. Thursday at Carthage’s Bulldog Stadium---The Pirates had to win their way into the playoffs by soundly defeating Lumberton Friday night. Their rushing attack should give Lindale all they can handle Thursday night in Carthage.

DEWEYVILLE (7-2) over CUSHING (6-3) 7 p.m. Thursday at Jasper’s Bulldog Field—The Pirates overpowered all of the District 12-2A-II opponents and cruise into the playoffs as the No. 1 seed. They just need to keep doing what they are doing and don’t look ahead.
