The Bassmaster Elite Tour is back in Orange for the fourth time and began Thursday morning and will run through Sunday afternoon. The Orange County Sheriff's Office Marine Division is assisting the tournament by providing security and assistance to the anglers. The Marine Division has two of its boats patrolling the Sabine River for the duration of the tournament, including the Safe boat. Sheriff Jimmy Lane Mooney volunteered to work the Safe boat with deputies for the opening day of the tournament.

Sheriff Mooney and his deputies will be patrolling the river all weekend to ensure all participants are safe and to be available in the event they are needed. The tournament will conclude on Sunday. There are carnival rides for the kids to enjoy, as well as the kid's fish tank. There are plenty of food booths and Neil McCoy will perform on Saturday night. All concerts are free to attend.

Sheriff Mooney encourages everyone to come out and enjoy the festivities.
