OF's Humplik, Ragsdale top SETCA All-Stars

Two-way selection Emma Humplik is among four softball teammates and their coach from Orangefield leading the way among Orange County picks to the All-Star games set for June 16-18.

The Southeast Texas Coaching Association announced the players and dates and times for the Sixth Annual CHRISTUS All-Star Classic at a news conference Monday.

CHRISTUS Southeast Texas Sports Medicine and Beaumont Bone and Joint Institute are the title sponsors.

Rebekah Ragsdale, Orangefield High Softball Coach, was named to lead the East All-Stars.

Humplik was chosen both for the All-Star Softball game at 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, and also the All-Star Volleyball game at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, June 17, at East Chambers High School.

SETCA's All-Star Baseball game also will be at Barbers Hill Thursday, June 17.

SETCA stages All-Star Volleyball, All-Star Girls Basketball and All-Star Boys Basketball one after another beginning at 4:30 p.m. Thursday, June 17 at East Chambers High School Gym.

All-Star Football game will be at Beaumont Memorial Stadium at 7 p.m. Friday, June 18.

Codie Sorge, Ryden Stanfield and Olivia Grant of Orangefield join Humplik among nine Orange County selections to the East squad for the All-Star Softball Game.

Other Orange County picks are Madeline Stephensen, Bailey Frenzel and Karson Friar of Little Cypress-Mauriceville, Skylar Head of Vidor and Taliyah Washington of West Orange-Stark.

Baseball All-Stars from Orange County include Sam Carpenter of Bridge City, Bryce Bergeron and Tyler Washington of Orangefield, Tyler Gray of Vidor and Jalen Thompson of WO-S.

Volleyball All-Stars from the county are Humplik and Waverlee Cooper from Bridge City.

Orange County's Boys Basketball All-Stars are Gabe Castillo, Bridge City; Jesse Doucette, LC-M; and the duo of Quintin Proctor and Bryan Keller of WO-S. No Orange County girls is on the SETCA Girls Basketball All-Stars.

Three WO-S players, Miguel Villeda, Braden Gant and Jasachin Harris, were among eight Orange County seniirs that made the SETCA East Football All-Stars.

Joining them are Cody Howard and Oscar Carranza of Bridge City, Ethan Tant of LC-M, Mason Sampson of Orangefield and Ty Vincent of Vidor.
