OJH Students GET GLOWING For STAAR

Orangefield Junior High 6th grade students participated in Glow Day, this Thursday. Teachers transformed classrooms using blacklights, neon accents, and encouraged students to dress in neon colors. “ The purpose of our Glow Day STAAR Review was to engage students in interactive play focusing on multiple learning styles while reviewing key concepts of curricula. Students focused on high frequency questions emphasizing problem solving skills. We felt like it was important for students to have fun while learning.” , Lauren Frederick , 6th grade math teacher. Sixth grade teachers focused on keeping students engaged through rigorous review in math, reading, language arts, and science, incorporating the theme of “Let’s Get Glowing.
