The annual Cajun Heritage Fest will be held on June 5, 2021 at the Carl A. Parker Multipurpose Center in Port Arthur. Now in its sixth year, the festival promotes the shared history of Southeast Texans and Louisianans through music and food.

The festival has hosted several award winning musicians in the past including Grammy Award winners Jo-El Sonnier and Wayne Toups. Toups, a staple of Cajun and country music since the 1970s, is returning this year to headline the music lineup. The musical acts begin at 11 a.m. and attendees can take advantage of the open dance floor all day.

Aside from music festival goers can expect a variety of Cajun food vendors, beer and beverages, dance contests, crawfish racing and eating contests, and children's activities.

The Cajun Heritage Fest is presented by the Southeast Texas Arts Council (SETAC) with support from the City of Port Arthur, Cajun Sounds Internet Radio, TexasCommission on the Arts, and the Foundation for Southeast Texas. Festival gates open at 10:30 a.m. Tickets are $25 and are available online at CajunHeritageFest.com, in person at the Museum of the Gulf Coast, and at the gate on the day of the festival. Call SETAC at 409-835-2787 for more information.
