Mary Beth McClure, 67, of Bridge City, passed away on July 11, 2021, at her home.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 17, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be Reverend Mark Bunch. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery in Jasper.

Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Saturday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.

 Born in Orange, Texas, on June 30, 1954, Mary Beth was the daughter of Grady Rawls and Elizabeth (Glover) Rawls. Mary Beth was a faithful lifetime member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. She was a dedicated follower of Christ and was a pure example of selflessness and love. Mary Beth was a lifelong resident of Bridge City and worked as a special education teacher at Hatton for the majority of her 30+ year career. Mary Beth’s sweet and patient nature made her an incredible teacher that changed the lives of many students over the years. Mary Beth loved dogs and dogs loved her. She grew up with horses and won ribbons barrel racing. Mary Beth was an incredible Southern cook and made the best gumbo, French toast, & chocolate chip cookies. Mary Beth lived her life based on her love of family. Mary Beth and Larry were married 38 years, welcoming 3 beloved children. She was the best Mom, always there, by our side to encourage with her unconditional love. While Mary Beth loved being a mom, her favorite role was being a “Granny”. She was the best Granny in the world and had a special knack for rocking babies to sleep in her rocking chair. The most important thing to Mary Beth is family. She loved her family deeply. She truly lived her life taking care of those she loved and making them feel special & cherished. Mary Beth left a positive mark on the lives of so many. She will be deeply missed by her family & all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 38 years, Larry McClure; parents, Grady and Elizabeth “Betty” Rawls; and stepmother, Mary Rawls.

She is survived by her children, Miranda Miller and husband David of Lewisville, Texas, Andrew McClure and wife Savannah of Orange, Sarah Greaux and husband Justin of Orangefield; grandchildren, Katie Miller, Livy Miller, Juliana Greaux, Jaida Greaux, and Ella Mae McClure; siblings, James Rawls and wife Sandy of Little Cypress and Nancy Dupuis and husband Kenny of Bridge City; as well as her nieces and nephews, David Dupuis, Adam Dupuis, Elizabeth Carter, Brian Rawls, and Janet Rawls.
