Patricia Ladell "Pat" Hendry Lancaster, 73, of Spring, Texas was peacefully called home by our Heavenly Father on September 23, 2021 surrounded by family.

Ms. Lancaster made her grand debut into this world on November 26, 1947 in Crockett, Texas. Although she lived in many places (including Europe), Pat always felt Bridge City was her home.

Pat proudly graduated in 1965 from Waynesville High School in Waynesville, MO. After many successful years of service, Pat retired from Texas Employment Commission in Austin, Texas as a State Training Manager and was at one time a respected staff member of the Governor of Texas.

Pat truly loved being an active volunteer in her communities, was once the President of the Bridge City Chamber of Commerce, and was an active member of the Business and Professional Women's club in Orange, Texas amongst several other community services.

Pat was known as "Grammy" by her grandsons and "Aunt Patsy" by her many nieces and nephews. Everyone that knew Pat can all agree that she was known for her kindness, generosity, and sense of fashionable style. Pat's loving embrace leaves behind the following survivors; her daughter Natalie (Harris) Barnes and husband Layne of Spring, Texas; her son Devin Harris and wife Rachel of Liberty Hill, Texas; sisters Linda (Hendry) VenRooy and husband Gary of Loves Park, III; Arnita Kay (Jones) Foster and husband Marvin of Virginia Beach, VA; Clara Dawson of Clarence, MO; her grandsons Kacy Broussard, Auston Barnes, Blake Barnes and Oryin Harris. In addition, she leaves behind several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many other family and friends. She adored you all.

Pat is now eternally surrounded in love by her father David Hendry, mother Clennie Kelley Jones, step-mother Geraldine Hendry, sister Frances Hurlburt, brother Wallace Lee Jones and her soul mate Mansel Lancaster.

A funeral service in Pat's honor will be held at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 5, 2021. Burial will immediately follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens located at 4560 Highway 87 South, Orange, Texas under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday, October 4, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Claybar Funeral Home with visitation continuing on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service.

Pallbearers are Kacy Broussard, Auston Barnes, Blake Barnes, Devin Harris and Layne Barnes. Honorary Pallbearer is Oryin Harris.

The family would also like to give our sincerest heartfelt gratitude to the entire staff at Autumn Leaves of Cypresswood for their extraordinary care of "Miss Pat".
