Mattie Owens and Alexi Collazo made contributions with steals, while also grabbing an assist and a bucket for themselves. The Lady Cats took the first win of the night 18-14.

The 8th grade A team started off the game with a 12-0 deficit, but they persevered, shook off the attack, and gained their composure. The Bobcats successfully went on a 2nd quarter run, bringing the deficit to just one going into the half, which made the score 19-18. Bridge City came out in a 1-3-1 half-court press to start the second half, but with perfect offensive execution, the Lady Cats easily broke it down with beautiful ball movement to gain easy buckets. With eight seconds left in the game, the score was tied 34-34. Steeley Franklin took a foul and went to the line for free throws. With ice in her veins, she made the first to put the Lady Cats ahead! On the next play, Brooklyn Wagoner stole the ball and sealed the win with a buzzer-beating three-pointer, which kept the Bobcats ahead of the Cardinals 38-34! Wagoner was also the leading scorer for the night, contributing 22 points! Charlee Sanches led in rebounds, while every single player contributed a steal for a total of 15 steals as a team.
