Raylene McKinney Terrell, 78, formerly of Bridge City

Raylene McKinney Terrell, 78, passed away Thursday, November 18, 2021 at her home in Woodville, Texas.  Raylene was born on July 11, 1943 in Houston, Texas.  She moved with her family to Bridge City, Texas in 1957 and graduated from Bridge City High School in 1961.  After graduating from Port Arthur College, she began working at the Port Arthur Housing Authority in 1962 and retired from there in 2004 as the Deputy Executive Director. Raylene was a devoted wife, mother, aunt, and friend to all who knew and loved her.  She loved the Lord and her church, Fairview Baptist Church in Town Bluff.

Raylene is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Clarence Terrell; son, Brian Terrell and wife Laura Milligan; daughter Shannon Michelle Terrell Garcia and fiancé Nermin Abaz; brother, Ricky Deon McKinney and wife Carol; niece, Lyndsi Rae Parker and husband Jeremy; nephew, William Robert "Bill" McKinney; niece, Kimberly Lane Fockelmann; grandchildren Hayden Garcia, Jessica Newman, Brittany Walden, Courtney Walden, and Kelly Terrell; great-niece Evangeline Parker; great-nephew Isaac Parker; and numerous other family members and friends.

Raylene is preceded in death by her parents, William Ray "PeeWee" McKinney and Imogene Johnson McKinney; brother, Rocky Gene McKinney.   

Serving as pallbearers will be Bill McKinney, Hayden Garcia, Brian Terrell, Jeff Collins, Joshua Dowdy, and Pete Dabill.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at 1 pm at the Fairview Baptist Church in Town Bluff with Brother Scott Loar officiating.  Burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Wednesday from 11 am until the time of the service.
