Anthony Charles Truncale, 89, of Bridge City, passed away on January 16, 2022, in Beaumont.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 21, 2022, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City. Officiating will be Deacon Steve Obernuefemann. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., Friday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.
Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on June 12, 1932, he was the son of Pelligrino Truncale and Josephine (Butera) Truncale. Anthony bravely served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean war and retired from Texaco after 35 years of service as a Lab Technician. His entire world revolved around his family who adored him deeply. Anthony was a man of many talents and enjoyed working in the yard and gardening, especially daylilies and roses. He was a great story teller, often recounting many humerous stories of our family and his childhood. He was a great singer and loved playing cards. Anthony built models of many things, his favorite being doll houses for his granddaughters. His family will cherish his memory and recite his many wonderful stories for years to come.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pelligrino and Josephine Truncale; son, Robert Truncale; siblings, Pete Truncale, Joe Truncale and Annie Mae Giglio; daughter-in-law, Debra Truncale; and granddaughter, Olivia Truncale.
He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Joan Truncale; children, David Truncale and wife, Donna of Baytown, Mark Truncale of Bridge City, Brian Truncali of Dallas, Mary Ellen Truncali of Houston, James Truncale of Orange and John Truncale and wife, Denise of Orange; 16 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be Anthony Sanchez, Adam Truncale, Luke Truncale, Michael Truncale, Eric Truncali and Anthony Truncale.
