Hometown News For Orange County, Texas
The good news for Orange, County may be indicative of good news coming for all of America. There has been enough bad news in recent years accompanying the pandemic: arguments over wearing masks, the decline in supplies, inflation and other aggravations imposed on Americans. Good news for Orange County is certainly a bright spot for Southeast Texas.
Good things seem to abound for Orange County. Never since the 40s when virtually overnight, Orange grew from a sleepy little East Texas community to 50,000 citizens or more. In large measure the surge in Orange's population was brought about by Orange being the center of producing one or two victory ships a day during WWII.
Orange County is about to have a new Chevron refinery operation and a new hospital. Also, there is a recent surge in enrollment at Lamar State College-Orange. It's hard to beat new jobs, better health care opportunities and growing educational facility. America, too, can be equally as prosperous if we will cooperate, reach across political boundaries and join together in a vision for a better future as Orange is experiencing.
Orange and Southeast Texas can expect a great future which we should count as a great blessing of a free democratic society and nation.
