Monday night, the OJH Lady Bobcats played host to the Vidor Pirates. The Cats were able to make a clean sweep for all four games.

The 7th grade B-team was the first team of the night, and they were driven by the crafty and scrappy duo of Laniey Maricle and Catherine Crooks. Both girls led the game in steals, points, and rebounds. The Lady Cats took another win and remain undefeated in District play-4-0!

The 8th grade B-team is also undefeated in District play, as well, and added another win to their column Monday night. Sophia Marino and Brooklyn Bott ran the show with assistance from Mattie Owens. Her poise from high post contributed crucial baskets. It was a tight match-up coming into the 4th quarter, but with healthy ball movement and a late free-throw by Gabby White, the Lady Cats were able to secure the win, making their record 5-0!

The 7th grade A-team started the game off in a dominating fashion! Every single player contributed with buckets, as ball movement and team play were a key focus. The hustle, hard work, and court chemistry this team displayed were inspiring to all who watched. The Cats took the win 42-5, making a 5-1 record for District play.

The 8th grade A-team entered the game undefeated, and that is just how they left it. Starting off with the smothering press presence, Aubree Beck created havoc the Pirates didn’t have answers for. Generating steal after steal, the Bobcats go up quickly and never looked back. Rebounds from Haylee Spears and Emily Meyers helped keep a healthy margin all game long. Kendall Sullivan knocked down her free throws to make her the leading scorer for the night. The Cats took the 38-11 win over the Pirates and increased their record to 6-0!

On Monday, the Cats travel to Lumberton to wrap up the season. Collectively, all four teams hold a 19-1 District record!
