Connie Gail Nelson, 61, of Orange, passed away on February 5, 2022, in Orange.

Born in Wilson, North Carolina, on October 23, 1960, she was the daughter of Rudolph Ledford and Marjorie Ledford.

Connie loved her family and friends with all her heart, they were all so blessed to have her in their lives. Connie had a great love for Jesus and knew her home was with him. She was very reserved towards her battle with lung cancer and extremely brave and courageous right to the end. Connie will be missed by all who knew and loved her for many years to come.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rudolph and Marjorie Ledford; daughter, Stormy Stanley; and brothers, Ronnie Hawley and Spencer Denton.

She is survived by her children, Makin Ledford and Mason Stanley; grandchildren, Ari, Madelyn, Mikela, DJ, Bre’Asia, and Zariah; siblings, Larry Ledford and wife Rebecca, Terry Denton, Margie Schaltz, and Sandy Burress; birth mother, Sandra Perry; as well as her special friends, Diana Lloyd, Clarence and MaryAnn.

Cremation will be under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home.
