Elouise Van Pelt, 90, of Baytown, passed away on February 1, 2022, in Baytown.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Bland Cemetery in Orange.

Born in Orange, Texas, on October 11, 1931, she was the daughter of Pearce A. Bland and Vera E. (Washington) Bland.

Elouise was a woman of simple pleasures, often enjoying gardening, watching daytime shows and Andy Griffin, and reminiscing on photos of her family. She was a wonderful cook and was known for her incredible pies, bringing them to every family gathering. Elouise loved ice cream and gum, but above all else, spending time with her precious family.

She was an incredible mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who loved her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pearce and Vera Bland; son, Gary Van Pelt; and brother, Edgar Wynn Bland.


She is survived by her children, Stephen Van Pelt and wife Marla and Evelyn Quaid both of Baytown; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
