Clinton James Whitmire, 78, Bridge City

Clinton James Whitmire, 78, of Bridge City, died Saturday, March 26th, 2022 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. He was a longtime resident of Vidor but has been living in Bridge City for the past 15 years where he built his home with his children. He retired as a Master Mechanic. He served his country as a veteran of the Unite States Marine Corp. Clinton loved fishing, working out in the yard on his lawnmowers, and getting to spend time with family, especially his grand and great grandbabies. Cremation arrangements are entrusted with Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. He is survived by his children Amy Whitmire of Lumberton, TX, Angela Whitmire of LaBelle, TX, Joshua Clinton Whitmire of Vidor, TX, and Sarah Whitmire and husband Brad Cooksey of Groves, TX, brother Roy Gayle Whitmire of Liberty, TX, 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death parents Lee and Artie Mae Whitmire, and siblings: Burton Whitmire, Buddie Whitmire, Pearl Ann Crenshaw, Betty Jean Whitmire, Alan Whitmire, Talmage Whitmire, and Hazel Ezzell.
