My name is Patty Collins, and I am pleased to announce my candidacy for the Bridge City City Council Place 4. Born and raised in this beautiful city, I am proud to be the third generation in a family who has been in Bridge City for over 85 years! My grandfather came to this area when it was known as Prairie View. I loved hearing the stories of how the town served those going to work at the refineries in Port Arthur, and how it eventually became Bridge City.

I am seeking a city council position because of my love for the city in which I was raised, and my desire to give back through dedicated service. Service to the community is a calling for me. I am the founder and current Chair of the Bridge City ISD Education Foundation, and member of the BC Planning and Zoning Committee.

My professional career has included significant assignments in leadership, human resources, accounting, finance, and budgeting, as well as project management of new commercial construction. This experience has provided me real-world understanding of the careful management of assets and budgets to achieve goals in the most cost-effective manner. I also hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Master's degree in Organizational Development. 

I am honored to be an active member of St Paul's United Methodist Church, which my late grandmother helped establish. I was appointed to the Board of Trustees in 2022 and have been the Chair of the Prayer Garden Committee since its inception, as well as having served on the Finance and New Building committees.

I am eager to offer my time and talents to the citizens of Bridge City. If elected to serve as your City Councilman for Place 4, I will apply my years of work experience and board service to our city. I will listen with an open mind, devote my passion and energy to supporting growth and community involvement, and will work with the city council and city officials to ensure the success of our beautiful city.
