2022 "Miss Orange County Scholarship Pageant"

Rylea Gabrielle Tipton Was Crowned as Miss Orange County on April2nd. Rylea is the daughter of Bubba and Laura Tipton. She is a senior at LCM High School where she is top 10% of her class and participates in the Interact club, student council, and is the senior class Vice President. Rylea plans to attend Texas A&M in the fall to pursue her dream of becoming a pediatric nurse practitioner.

The Mauriceville Heritage Association hosted the 41st annual pageant in conjunction with the 2022 Crawfish Bash planned for May 6th through May 7th. In 1981, the Mauriceville Crawfish Festival Association hosted the first Crawfish Festival Queen Pageant as a fundraising project. It quickly became an annual tradition in conjunction with the Mauriceville Crawfish Festival. In 2018, The Mauriceville Crawfish Festival Association became a federally recognized non-profit under the name Mauriceville Heritage Association and changed the format to the annual festival. In conjunction with those changes, the Annual Mauriceville Crawfish Festival Queen became Miss Orange County to fully represent our area. For 41 years, our association has produced not just a pageant, but a moving experience that remains in the hearts and on the minds of local young women for generations

The Miss Orange County Pageant was held on Saturday, April 2nd at the Little Cypress- Mauriceville High School Auditorium by Director: Jamey MacFarlane and Assistant Directors: Mandy Simon & Theresa Hardin.

We know both girls will be great representatives our program throughout the county. We have an amazing group of girls representing Orange County this year, and we are excited for the upcoming year." About Mauriceville Heritage Association

Aubrie Kate Woods was crowned as Junior Miss Orange County. Aubrie is the daughter of Aaron and Kelli Woods. She attend Little Cypress Christian Academy where she plays volleyball and is the Student Council Vice President.

The Mauriceville Heritage Association works to promote the common good and general welfare of the Community of Mauriceville and neighboring areas through locally raised revenue and the provision of property needed for cultural, academic, athletic and agricultural activities; and further positive outcomes for the youth, senior citizens, and families in the Community of Mauriceville and neighboring areas by providing material support to smaller community organizations including our volunteer emergency services organization and family-centred associations, developing strong community connections through our annual Bash and other annual events.

North Orange County Emergency Preparedness / Supplies, Scholarship Funds (6 Scholarships), 44th Annual Senior Citizen Banquet, Mauriceville Community Christmas Lighting, MVE Memorial Butterfly Garden, MMS Band equipment, LCM Project Safe Graduation Funds, First Baptist Church Mauriceville Youth, North Orange County Beautification, and Mauriceville Area Associations assistance: Youth Football Association, Orange Youth Baseball, Mauriceville Chapters of Boy / Girl Scouts, & Orange County Livestock Association, 13 week Farmer's Market free to patrons and vendors (early spring / summer)
