Merle Willis Tozer, 68, Orange

Merle Willis Tozer, 68, of Orange, Texas, passed away on September 5, 2022, at the Medical Center in Port Arthur, Texas.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Born in Cortez, Colorado, on May 12, 1954, he was the son of Pearley Alvin Tozer and Elanor Tozer. Merle worked as a consultant in the oil field industry for many years. He was a hardworking man and enjoyed his job greatly. Merle was blessed to make many friends throughout his time in the oil field that he considered to be his family. He was a loving husband and father, and his children were his world. Merle will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 30 years, Debra “Deb” Kay Tozer of Orange; his children, Mkenzie Holloway and husband Kade and Scott Jones and wife Teletha, all of Orange; his grandchild, Hayden Holloway; one expected grandchild; his sister, Carol Tibbits and husband Gary of Cortez; his niece and nephew, Whitney and Kienan; as well as many other family members and friends.

Cremation will be under the direction of Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
