DAR Celebrates Constitution Week this Saturday

The William Diamond chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, reminds all Americans that this week commemorates the 235th year of the signing of the Constitution of the United States.

Local celebration highlights include a luncheon on Saturday, September 17th at the Old Orange Cafe at 11 am for members and guests of the William Diamond Chapter of Orange.

William Diamond chapter regent, Elberta Herman, will preside over the annual luncheon.  Reverend Jeff Bell, Hospice Chaplain and retired minister will lead the invocation and music director, Debbie Anderson will sing the National Anthem and America the Beautiful.  

Guest speaker, Orange Mayor Larry Spears, Jr., will speak on “In God We Trust”. 

Bells will ring thought the United States to commemorate the 235th Anniversary of the signing of the U.S. Constitution. Please join us in ringing the bells. If you attend the meeting, we will gather in front of the Orange County Court House and ring the bells.

Proud Americans are encouraged to fly the American flag for the week.
