Barry Franklin Gossett, 66, of Nederland, Texas, passed away on September 5, 2022, at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas.

Born in Port Arthur, Texas, on April 25, 1956, he was the son of Williamson Henry Gossett and Hazel (Broadwater) Gossett. Barry worked as a security officer for many years at the Port of Beaumont for Patriot Security. He enjoyed his job and being in the company of the people he worked with. Barry was one of a kind. He had a big character and an even bigger heart. He loved his family and took pride in being his mother's caretaker until her passing in 2006. Barry enjoyed collecting firearms, playing guitar, and spending time with his cat, Sadie, who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his sister, Kelly Gossett of Nederland; and his fur babies, Winston and Sadie.

Cremation is under the direction of Simple Tributes by Claybar Funeral Home in Orange.
